01. The Brief

To make it easier for universities, corporates and events to discover and invite industry experts and academia all over the world to develop and deliver relevant programs.

Connect2Teach approached us for designing an edu-tech product which would make it easier for the institutions and individuals to access talent with real-world expertise. The emphasis was to design the product which would speak the natural language of everyday use; be it for finding the opportunities and individuals or negotiating the offer.

02. What we did

In order to understand as to for whom we were to solve this problem; we started interviewing stake holders and a few members from the education industry, identifying personas, writing user stories and creating screen flow diagrams along with a high fidelity prototype. We were also responsible for helping developers come up with accurate estimates by explaining to them the product idea and the important considerations from the UX side of things.

After interviewing a few potential users of the product made it evident that the product will have to be designed in a more conversational manner rather than functional. In addition to that, any low to mid fidelity wireframes resulted in a lot of confusion which dictated the high fidelity prototype direction we had to take. Extensive UX testing was a must, so we implemented the end to end flows for the important user stories including the ‘offer negotiation’ flow.

03. How we did it

Once the personas were identified and a wide range of features listed; we employed card sorting followed by Red Route Analysis. We then created a screen flow diagram which was eventually approved after a few iterations. We then started creating a high-fidelity prototype in an agile fashion i.e. delivering on user stories rather than pages and functionalities.
